Walter Lee Wright, 67, has been arrested and charged for an alleged burglary that was reported last week in the 4500 block of Dorset Avenue in Somerset that quickly went awry, police say.

The preliminary investigation by detectives determined that the victim called police, while locked in her bathroom, as Wright was walking through her home.

When officers arrived, they saw the man, later identified as Wright, in the front of the victim’s residence, carrying property, according to police. When he was spotted, Wright fled away from the scene and he was later tracked down in the area of Deal Place and Cumberland Avenue, where he was arrested.

Wright, who police say has no confirmed address, was charged with first-degree burglary and related charges. He's being held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
